Well, I'm 29 weeks now- only 11 more to go and we can't wait! We are about to finish up our birthing class on Monday night, which has been a treat! :) For the most part, the information has been pretty standard until this last week. We got to tour the hospital and see the labor rooms and the post- delivery rooms. I don't think this would have been any big deal if I weren't pregnant, because the rooms are actually really clean and new. However, this part scared me more than anything else. They tell you all the possible things that could go wrong and how this is
the actual room where you could have your baby. I don't know, I guess I was expecting the Marriott or something, but this definitely was not it :) It just made everything seem scary but I know it is a great hospital and they will take good care of us!
On another note, we went to a pool party on Wednesday night. All of the medicine staff were invited to a CASUAL pool party at the home of a Neurologist. The invitation said there would be food and swiming, so we thought it would be fun- We showed up ( in regular clothes, no bathing suits for us...I thought I would spare the people at the party:) and it was not what we would think of as a casual pool party. There were people swimming- however, there were servers dressed in black and white walking around serving margaritas, wine and any other drink you might want (I had water of course and Brian splurged for a Diet Coke with lime...yummm). There was also an array of fancy food brought out by servers (again in black and white). And to top it off, there was a masseuse there with her table set up to give massages to anyone who wanted one. WOW! We thought we would have burgers and hot dogs at a picnic table :) It was really fun and totally different from anything casual we had ever been to. We wanted to take pictures of the pool (which was incredible) but thought that we would really look like nerds who never got out, so we just sat and enjoyed ;)
Well Brian gets a day off this Sunday and we can hardly wait! Hope everyone has a good weekend!
