We went to a dinner for the medicine residents at a country club here in town- This was Brians attempt to use the timer on the camera- It was the best we could do, Riley had a little trouble looking at the camera :)
Well this is my belly :) I am 5 months now!! half-way done!

This is our little friend- He comes every night to our back porch and hangs out until morning. Sometimes it feels like we're in Mexico (minus the free food and drinks), there are lizards everywhere, it is really hot, and everyone has palm trees in their yards.. Its really fun!! (I think everyone needs to come visit-just skip your vacation and come to Texas, its way more fun!) :)

We made it!

We're finally Texans- It seems like we've been planning this for so long and now its here. We have only been here about a week and its been so busy- I think we only have 1 box left to unpack!! What a relief, only to think we get to do this again in 4 years :) Well, Brian started orientation today and starts seeing patients on Tuesday- He is so excited!! He will finally get to do what he has been working so hard for- This first year is just a year of general medicine (E.R., Wards, V.A. hospital...), next year he will be doing optho!! We met some of our neighbors this week and all of the medicine residents and optho residents- Everyone seems so nice! This really is the best place for us- if you can get past the heat... I really didnt think it would be this much warmer in Texas than in Oklahoma, but it has been over 100 degrees since the day we moved in. Riley doesn't play outside as much :) Our neighbors behind us have a pool and you can hear the fountain when you go in the backyard- I'm worried that if my belly gets too big, I might be jumping the fence :)
So, Henry must love Texas because from the day we moved in, he has been moving almost all day- Just a few days ago, I was sitting down and he started moving so much that you could see my belly move. He is getting big! It is so exciting and so hard to believe he is in there....We cant wait to meet him!
Well, that is all of our exciting news for now...I know it hasn't been that long yet, but we are so excited to get to see everyone in a few weeks! We miss you so much!

Our last 2 days in Oklahoma

This is to give a little insight to any of you who don't know our dog-

So it started on Friday night as the whole family was about to leave to go to dinner and a movie. We let Riley out to use the bathroom, and he started barking at the cows across the field. We thought it would be funny to tell him to go get the cows.... so guess what he did- He took off, all 5 pounds of him and started chasing an entire herd of cattle out of the pasture. He was barking and weaving in and out of them, making sure none were left behind. The cows, for whatever reason, were terrified. Brian jumped the fence and began to run after him, Cathy and I were screaming and Allen (laughing)was chasing him in the truck. He ran at least a mile of pasture until ALL the cows were gone. Finally, Grandpa Allen got out of the truck and got him to come over. It was a sight to see although we were scared to death-We still have no idea how he didn't get trampled.
After that he thought he was on top of the world. So much in fact, that the next day he decided to chase wasps. You can only guess what happened next- Yep, he got stung in the arm and eye. It was so bad, his eye actually started bleeding. The first picture above is right after it happened, it was swollen shut. The second picture is a little later after some adult benadryl. This was our attempt to save ourselves $250.00 for an emergency vet bill, which seems to always be when he gets hurt- Saturday or Sunday. Well, as of now, it looks like he is ok-he thinks he's a champion! We can't wait to see all the things he teaches our son :)
Well we leave tomorrow morning- of course, we go out with a bang- Tomorrow we are Texans

Our little boy!

Well, its official... our little baby is a boy! We had our ultrasound today, and our first ultrasound proved to be true! I know he will kill me for this picture later, but his Dad is just so proud of his son :)
This was a 3D picture the doctor switched over to really quick so we could see him in color (well, somewhat) I know every baby's head looks like this at this stage, but it makes for a cute mohawk!
This is him waving at us, or just telling us to get away:) It starts way to soon-

I think he looks just like us :)
:)
His name will be Henry James- Henry is after my grandpa, and James is after Brian's grandpa. (I know, he's born to be an author :) He had a full scan at this appointment, and the doctor said everything looked healthy, so healthy in fact that they moved my due date from November 12 to the 7th (he's a big boy!) We have been feeling him move for about 2 weeks now- sometimes it harder than others but its always so incredible! We love this pic of his little foot, now I know what's been doing all the moving!
Well this was our last appointment with our doctor, we left after our app. to come to Velma (Brian's parents) to load up our stuff and say goodbye- We are headed to Temple on Sunday! I will let you guys know when we make it :)

After graduation, we went and ordered our furniture from a fun store in OKC called Storklands. We couldn't decide whether or not to get furniture in the city or wait until we moved to Temple, but we really liked this set! We are so excited- of course it doesn't come with the bedding, which makes since because the bedding is pink and we are pretty sure its a boy- (we had an early ultrasound and the tech. and dad are sure of what they saw :)We will find out for sure on Monday, so as soon as we do- we will let you know and then its off to Texas!
I know its sideways, but I had to add it- Brian signed his name for the first time using M.D.! Its been a long road and he has done such an incredible job!! I'm so proud of you- I love you
Well its official- I'm starting to show and Brian graduated Medical School (both equally important :)
Brian and his mom
Mikel, Sarah and Brian all after graduation-
Sarah matched in Tulsa!(much closer)

We went to Brian's senior banquet the week of graduation with our friends Mikel and Becca. They just got back from their honeymoon in the D.R. This was Brian's roomate throughout college at OBU and also for his first year at OU. We had such a great night- The dinner was at the Petroleum Club at the top of the Chase building downtown. It will be so hard to leave everyone! Mikel matched at the Mayo in MN so we hope to see them and all of our friends as much as possible!

Our wonderful friends- Mindy is due 8 weeks before us with a little girl Daisy! You can only imagine how much the guys enjoyed living with 2 pregnant women!
We took a trip to Branson with our friends The Goffs who have been so gracious and let us live with them since we sold our house early. We stayed for the weekend and saw "Shanghi Circus" and acrobatic show, which was incredible! It was so nice to relax before our move....its only a few weeks away-
Well, this will be Brian's new home for the next 4 years- Its a new hospital and will also be the birthplace of our new baby! (It's only 2 miles from our house, so it should make for an easy drive :)
